What happens when we let in the light?
Remember the amaryllis bulb I shared earlier this year? The one resting on birch wood—no soil, no water—just light?
It bloomed.
It really filled up my "wonder" quotient. So beautiful.
The bloom itself didn’t add anything new per se. It didn’t suddenly have new strength, color, or beauty it didn’t already have. It simply revealed what had been there all along.
Watching it unfold reminded me of something I see again and again in my work with leaders—especially women who are navigating growth, change, or that quiet inner voice to be more.We don’t transform by becoming someone else. We transform when we remove what’s been dimming our light.
The doubt. The overthinking. The self-talk.
When we create the right conditions—space, awareness, permission, presence—what’s already inside us blossoms naturally.
That’s what this season feels like for me. Less forcing. More unfolding. Less striving. More trusting.
The bloom was inevitable once the light was allowed in.
The question isn’t whether you have what it takes. It’s whether you’re willing to let yourself be seen in full color.
Are you ready to let in the light?
